My Florida Favorites

While I've been mourning the end of the 2025 Winter Equestrian Festival, I've also been recalling my favorite items that got me through a long, tiring, wonderful twelve weeks in the sunshine. From sun protection, make-up, to my favorite nutritious horse show snacks, I've sifted through it all trying to find the most practical items to have in my trunk, on my golf cart, or in my backpack for those hefty horse show days. While I plan to release a much needed "What's in My Backpack" post, consider this a snap shot of my everyday essentials!

#1: Owala "FreeSip" Water Bottle

A New Year's resolution of mine was to drink more water; this pretty and functional water bottle has forced me to stick to that. Not only does this water bottle stay ice cold all day, but the FreeSip spout technology allows easy access when I'm riding and need a quick sip of water. I myself have the middle, 32 oz model which I really like, but after seeing a few in-person, the 24 oz is also quite appealing for it's sleek look and compact size! Whichever size or model you may choose I don't think you can go wrong with the quality of the Owala!

#2: Truvani's "The Only Bar"

While searching the protein bar aisle of Whole Foods, I happened to spot and purchase one of Truvani's Plant-Based Snack Bar. With only the simplest ingredients these bars are the perfect balance of flavor and nutrition; I've put a huge emphasis on clean eating this year and I refuse to eat a bar that tastes chalky or over-processed. With a wide range of delicious flavors like "Oatmeal Chocolate Chip" and "Chocolate Brownie" (my favorite!!) these bars have become a quick breakfast to keep me full on those early horse show mornings and my go-to fuel after a long horse show day.

#3: The "Define Jacket" by Lululemon

If you've watched any of my "WEF Vlogs" from this year you will have definitely seen me sporting this jacket. I typically reach for a sweater when I want an extra layer, but with how much the weather changed in Florida this year I constantly relied on this jacket for a little extra warmth on a breezy morning or extra coverage when the sun was blaring. While I found the black to look so sleek over a show shirt, these jackets come in many colors and multiple styles; an added plus is that they are the perfect addition to your workout wardrobe as well! I currently have 3 and I fear the collection may grow with how much I love this jacket!

#4: Matcha

I know I'll probably have a split crowd of matcha lovers and matcha haters, but I seriously cannot get enough! As much as I love a good latte I find that matcha is the perfect source of caffeine for me; I don't get jittery but I get a nice boost of energy, perfect for 5 AM wake-ups but also mild enough for that needed 4 PM pick-me-up. I've come to learn that my favorite matcha is the one I make! I keep it pretty simple, usually plain, but a must for me is a high-quality ceremonial grade tea. Jade Leaf, pictured above, is my absolute favorite with so many options to choose from on their online website!

#5: The Infused Equestrian "Noggin" Helmet Spray

A true need to combat the Florida heat! With the amount I've used this little bottle I'm surprised there's any product left after this circuit; I spray this on my helmet, on my gloves, in my trunk, you name it! The perfect size to throw in my back pack, The Infused Equestrian hit it out of the park with this product! Excited to be heading into an East Coast summer with "Noggin" in hand!

#6: OleHenriken Hydrating Lip Treatment

The hype is real! A wonderfully hydrating lip product that added the perfect amount of shine and shimmer for the barn. I've tried all the top brands from Summer Fridays to Rhode and Naturium; this is my absolute favorite. For more than half the Florida circuit my lip balm lived on my golf cart, perfect to apply in between rounds or grab before heading out to Saturday Night Lights. Currently in stock at Sephora, a rare occurrence, so grab them while you can!

#7: Euphoric Equestrian "KLOUD" Competition Shirt

You know you love something when it makes you sad to put it in the wash! Sleek and comfy; the gold detailing adds the perfect flash while the perforated material makes this the most breathable and elegant addition to your wardrobe. Offered in both black and white, the Kloud is perfect for the jumper, hunter, equitation or warm-up ring! #8: Liqiud IV Packets

On my theme of health and hydration, these little packets are true life savers! Before getting adjusted to the long, hot days I would come from the show feeling sick and exhausted. These packets are the perfect balance of salty and sweet to boost electrolytes and hydration. With a plethora of tropical flavors like "Mango Passion Fruit" and "Golden Cherry" you'll absolutely love these tasty, revitalizing packets!
